Md Ashadudzaman Asad is the President of CnES Foundation. He is a development practitioner with over 14 years’ experience in the field of climate change, disaster management, poverty alleviation, livelihoods, and resilience building. He is experienced in programme development, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation and action research.
He has managed and supported programmes and projects funded by FCDO, KfW, UNDP, World Bank, IFC, BMGF, HSBC, and other key development partners. He led the Green Climate Fund (GCF) accreditation readiness, NDA nomination and online application process of BRAC Bangladesh for accreditation as a Direct Access Entity (DAE) of the Green Climate Fund. He also played an instrumental role in the formulation of key organisational documents, such as the Climate Change Strategy, Environmental Policy and the Environmental and Social Safeguard Framework (ESSF).
He started his early career as a Lecturer at BRAC University and later on also taught at the International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), and the Southeast University in Bangladesh. Currently, he is working as the Coordinator of Climate Action at Friendship, Bangladesh. He joined BRAC Bangladesh In 2009, based at Head Quarters in Dhaka. He worked for the Monitoring Department and then with the Disaster Management and Climate Change Programme before finishing his BRAC chapter in February 2022 as a Programme Manager, Resource Mobilization and Planning of the Climate Change Programme (CCP). He also worked with UNDP based at UNDP HQ in New York, USA.
Mr Asad is connected to climate change networks and platforms at national, regional and global level. He published articles in peer reviewed journals and newspapers and also presented papers and abstracts at national and International conferences. The International Conference on Global Warming and Climate Change in Bangkok, Thailand, the 13th International Conference on Community Based Adaptation in Ethiopia, and the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP25) in Madrid, Spain.
Mr Asad pursued his MA in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, Massachusetts, USA. He holds Bachelor and Master of Arts in English from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Md. Ataullah Bhuiyan is the Vice President of the Community and Environmental Sustainability (CnES) Foundation. He has hands on experience in working directly with the unprivileged urban and rural people. He also worked with indigenous people in Bangladesh. He works to promote social change, development, cohesion and the empowerment of people and communities.
Mr Ataullah has years of experience to work with The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) holding a key role in implementation of ODA. He worked with the Official development assistance (ODA) fund as the government aid designed to promote the economic development and welfare of Bangladesh.
Ataullah holds a Bachelor of Business administration in Accounting from National University,Bangladesh.
Md. Shamsuzzaman is the Executive Director of the CnES Foundation. He has over Fifteen years of experience in the field of Human Resource Management and development, organization development & Administration. He has a proven track record of successfully helping organizations to grow faster.
Throughout his journey, he has developed and implemented different policies. He has extraordinary capacity in designing and implementing Strategic Planning, Policy creation & enforcement, Employee Development Planning, Contract & Procurement, Safety & Security, Grievance Management, Legal & compliance. He also excels at conducting interactive training, developing training modules and tools in the areas of human resources and organization development, customer care, team building, and leadership.
Md. Shamsuzzaman started his career with telecommunications as a Team leader; He served as Executive Director at ACE . He also served as Zonal Manager, Human Resources at BRAC for about nine years. During his career in BRAC, he served both Head office and field offices in different positions. He worked at Supreme Seed Company which is renowned seed research, production, processing, and marketing company as Head of Human Resources & administration. He also served at GUK as Joint Director (Head of the department)- Human Resources & administration, RISDA-Bangladesh as Deputy Director(Head of the department)- Human Resources & administration. He also participated in a number of national and international training.
He holds Masters of Business Administration in Human Resources and Management from BRAC University, Bangladesh; Masters in Economics from Rajshahi College under National University, Bangladesh.
Sakiba Binte Yusuf is the Organizing Secretary of CnES Foundation. She is one of the versatile development, research, Training and teaching professionals with over 5 years of working experience with different organizations. Beside the profession she has hands on experience in working directly with the village women, slum women and indigenous women in Bangladesh. She likes to works to promote social change, development, cohesion and the empowerment of people and communities.
She is a PhD researcher in Zhengzhou University, Peoples Republic of China. She worked as Associate Lecturer at Daffodil International University.
Sakiba holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Masters in English from Daffodil International University, Bangladesh.
Md. Rashel Bin Hossain is the Treasurer of CnES Foundation. He has ten years of experiences in Monitoring and Evaluation, Health and Nutrition and organizational development.
Rasel is working as Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at Friendship. He started his career at Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) as Program Officer. He worked as Senior Officer Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) in Training Assistance for Health and Nutrition (TAHN) Foundation. He also worked as a Senior Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation at BRAC Learning Division in BRAC.
Rasel holds Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from North South University, Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Sherin Akther is the Executive Member of CnES Foundation. She has 21 years of experience in the development sectors. Beside the profession she has hands on experience in working directly with the village women, slum women and indigenous women in Bangladesh. She likes to works to promote social change, development, cohesion and the empowerment of people and communities.
Sherin worked as Deputy Manager in Human Resource Division at BRAC . She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) and Masters in Sociology from Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
Md. Mozahedul Islam is the Executive Member of of CnES Foundation. He has 12 years of experience in Sales and Marketing beside this he has hands on experience in working directly with the unprivileged village peoples, slum peoples and indigenous peoples in Bangladesh. He works to promotes social change, development, cohesion and the empowerment of people and communities.
He holds Executive Masters of Business Administration in Management from BRAC University, Bangladesh; Master of Social Science, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
