During the COVID-19 pandemic, CnES Foundation initiated a campaign for supporting the extreme poor, day laborer and low income people. We supported with daily essentials, cash support, safety equipment and relief to safeguard them from infection, hunger, and also prevent community transmission. We worked with the waste handlers who are considered as socially and economically deprived group of people in Bangladesh. We provided safety equipment, relief goods along with awareness and safety messages on the pandemic.

Building awareness on Health issue is another area of focus of CnES foundation. We work on Women Health, Nutrition and Autism issues. We work to form, run and maintain forums and platforms at different institutions (university, college, school, madrasha, polytechnic, trade training centres and research institutions) on women health and nutrition, education, science, literature and fine arts. We facilitate formal and non-formal education for the society in both rural and urban areas. In collaboration with the research centres for autism, health and hygiene, we work for empowerment and employment for the children with special needs, their families and persons with disabilities.

Our approach in awareness raising is that, parents know well and are the best agents in making the change. We work on awareness raising on symptoms of autism, food aversions and sensitivities, behavioural issues, caring, etc.

CnES Foundation envisions a world where everyone is treated equally and respectfully; where they are able to live a life free from harm; where they have the tools needed to determine their own future and fulfill their potential. We believe community empowerment is only possible when everyone’s voice is heard and given the opportunity to act. CnES Foundation is determined for providing people, especially women living in poverty, with the tools to claim entitlements, develop leadership and take collective action through community-level organizations.

Our Community Empowerment Program empowers communities to change their own lives. We utilize a participatory process from community organizing, people’s empowerment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and most importantly, decision-making. Through this process, members learned to respond continuously to their livelihood, education, and health concerns.

Our Youth Engagement Program (YEP) focuses on creating an enabling environment for youth to advocate and improve their socio-economic position, by strengthening relevant organizations from the private and education sector as well as in civil society targeting youth. YEP also aims to involve government institutions, interest groups in this process, and to strengthen their capacity to increase youth participation and, formulate their ideas, agenda, policies, governance practice in relation to the socio-economic position of the youth. Our main activities focus the strengthening of partner organizations and interest groups that advocate for improving the socio-economic position of young women and men through training, coaching and strengthening their activities that specifically help to increase the economic empowerment of youth and enhance fact-based advocacy. we are also organizing multi-stakeholder dialogues on regular basis.
